Biskeet the stray dog.
Biskeet was a playful young female prancing on the street and making do with alms from some people of the street. One fine rainy day she littered in a storm water drain and was whining away as she could not fit inside the drain to feed her new born pups who were actually getting buried in the slush. We sprung into action with some good Samaritans to retrieve her and her six pups with great difficulty in the rain. She was afraid, confused and in trauma. We could save 6 of the puppies as access to them was a task. We moved mother and pups to a shelter. But late in the evening we heard the whining of a pup which had gone deep inside the drain and had now crawled to the opening. We took the pup to the shelter in the night but Biskeet did not feed it, probably she rejected it and it had died in the morning. The shelter now wants some one to adopt Biskeet's lovely, healthy puppies. Any takers ?
